CHARITY DONATION INFO

The Great North Air Ambulance Service brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year.

This years Wheels Int Lakes - Automotive Show is proud to be helping raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Established in 1991 the GNAAS launched an appeal to raise money for its first helicopter air ambulance to aid the North of England. This is a valuable life saving service that relies solely upon public donations as it dose not receive any government funding.

This service can provide Air Ambulances to rural locations, Rapid Response teams when helicopters are not available and they have a Critical Care Team that undertake rescues around the region.

With the aid of an Air Ambulance the Critical Response Teams can reach patients that are in need of critical care on average; in under 16mins. This vital service can help 'Save Lives' of loved ones.

Wheels Int Lakes believes this is a crucial service for the area of Cumbria due to the large rural area that we live in. The GNAAS will be in attendance at this years show with a stall selling there merch.

They provide life-saving, critical care services by air and road across the North East, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the Isle of Man. They receive no government funding, and are entirely funded by the generosity of the public.

Wheels Int Lakes will be hosting a Charity Raffle at 3pm at show with a collection of prizes donated by local businesses from around the Cumbria. Raffle tickets will be on sale in the Wheels Int Lakes stall all day at £1 a strip.

If you'd like to see the prizes that are up for grabs they will be on display along side our Tombola. If a raffle or tombola isn't your thing there will be Charity Pots dotted around the event for anyone who would like to donate their small change or you can click the link at the top of the page and donate on our Just Giving page. We appreciate anything that people can spare no matter the value.

Lets help a good cause while enjoying a day of ''Anything with Wheels''
